Research: Managing Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace

I have served in the role of research consultant to in several organizations on the importance of sustaining emphasis on Diversity and Inclusion. I am experienced with designing, administering, analyzing and presenting results of organizational diversity climate studies.

I recognize a working definition of Diversity and Inclusion as provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD):

>> Diversity encompasses the range of similarities and differences each individual brings to the workplace, including but not limited to national origin, language, race, color, disability, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, veteran status, and family structures. We define workforce diversity as a collection of individual attributes that together help us pursue organizational objectives efficiently and effectively. In simple terms, diversity is the mix.“<<

The resources below offer an introduction to key research in the areas of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This section will continue to evolve with a focus on my areas of emphasis: organizational effectiveness and human resource development.

I am also glad to provide further guidance on tools for assessing organizational climates for diversity. Please contact me for more details.
