(Note: I have several years’ experience supporting faculty in colleges and universities as they have transitioned from face-to-face teaching to hybrid and strictly online teaching formats. This experience includes conducting and reporting on student surveys which have aided assessment of instructional effectiveness in the online format. This format became especially noteworthy during the COVID-19 years when faculty on many campuses were abruptly required to move to online teaching formats, often with virtually no advanced training. I recommend this literature for institutions that are in the midst of evaluating what has worked and what needs improvement in their online teaching strategies.)
