Burnout is a condition that often occurs in occupations and workplaces where there is a seemingly limitless demand for working harder, combined with a severe form of hyper-perfectionism. Often it can be a byproduct of working in a toxic workplace environment where stress, trauma and deteriorating mental health is a common ingredient of employees’ workplace experiences.
