Diversity, Equity & Inclusion


I am an advocate for strengthening diversity and inclusion in the workplace as well as throughout society. What does that mean?

For me, it is not about window-dressing: It is about the hard work that comes with making a strong and lifelong commitment for policies and programs that promote the representation and participation of different groups of individuals, including people of different ages, races and ethnicities, sexual orientations & gender identities, abilities and disabilities, genders and cultures.

The University of Michigan’s Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion provides an excellent example of working definitions for DEI.

I have conducted considerable research in the area of diversity and equity in higher education and in the workplace. I will highlight some of the key resources for this page in times ahead, but in the meantime here are some essential recommendations:
