Research: Gender Identity, Gender Dysphoria, Transgender and Nonbinary Resources

This is an area of my own substantial research investigation into various aspects of gender identity formation across the lifespan, including the evolution of research about non-binary and transgender individuals.

After spending a long professional career journey in academia, I have embraced a non-binary gender-fluid identity. As a member of the American Psychological Association and the APA Division 44: Society for the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity, I am a strong advocate for the rights of LGBTQ+ and non-binary persons.

On this page, I have provided a vast array of references, reflecting my equally wide (and ever-growing) areas of interest and curiosity. My initial years of research, which span more than 25 years, are documented in my summary report, My Academic Research into Prenatal Hormonal Influences on Gender and Sexual Development in Men and Women (1995 to 2020 and Beyond), presented to the international conference Beyond Genes.
